The Hard Rock Hotel Casino is a great place to visit. My two favorite restaurants are the Pink Taco and Mr. Lucky's. The Pick Taco serves excellent Mexican food. Mr. Lucky's is a cafe style dining area. If you order the Mr. Lucky special you will get shrimp and steak for only $7.99. The Mr. Lucky restaurant is named after the legendary blues man "Mr. John Lee Hooker." I saw John Lee in concert at the Joint, located inside the Hard Rock before he passed away. The man was in his eighties at the time but he boogie woogied like no other!!
If you haven't seen The Beatles' LOVE show yet you owe it to yourself to do so. If you are really into The Beatles you have to experience this Cirque du Soleil show. The show encompasses all your favorite Beatles' music. It's a total psychedelic experience. The soundtrack created for the show won two Grammy Awards this year. The panoramic visuals and surround sound in the custom-bilt theatre will blow your mind. You should also check out the Carnegie Delicatessen before or after the show. I've never seen so much food on one plate! If you have guests visiting you in Vegas take them there. The food is great and you'll have an abundance of leftovers.
Lynda is a great training site. You can find training on Dreamweaver, 3d Studio Max, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and most any other software training you might need. I've used the site for a couple of years now. If you purchase the service at NAB (National Association of Broadcaster's Convention) you can get a discounted price. They do offer some free training on their site however, if you want to download the lesson files you will have to purchase the premium service which is around $375.00 per year. If you do not have this service and you work in the design field try and get your employer to subscribe for your office. Lynda offers five subscriptions for the price of four. Even if you just get them to just subscribe for one; you and your co-workers can share the site at different times.
My work schedule is Monday through Friday from 0700 to 1630 hours. I work nine hour days for eight days and then I work an eight hour day. This schedule allows me to get every other Friday off. I attend the College of Southern Nevada on Monday nights from six to ten o'clock.
